Annual Meeting Update

The CDCA held an open meeting on April 22 at Harkers Island. The Core

Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center graciously offered us their

facilities so we could hold our meeting there. There were approximately

25 attendees, many of whom came over from the First Annual Ocracoke

Island Waterfowl Festival meeting held the previous day on Ocracoke

Island. A catered lunch was provided, and numerous Portsmouth Island

and Ocracoke decoys and shorebirds were brought in to be photographed

and identified for an upcoming project. The possibility of a CDCA fall/winter

meeting were discussed, and we hope to have more info and a schedule

on that soon.
